Morrison Town Government
The Town of Morrison is a traditional democracy, being run by a Board of Trustees with 7 volunteer members, including a volunteer Mayor. Board meetings are held at the historic Town Hall at 7:00 p.m. on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month, are open to the public, and occasionally are highly entertaining examples of democracy in action. Citizens, of course, may address the Board and often do!
The Town has a full-time Police Chief who oversees a part-time and volunteer staff of officers. Other town employees include a full-time clerk, who keeps the town running smoothly, a part-time judge and court clerk, part-time Deputy Clerk and Town Treasurer, part-time Museums Coordinator and staff, and full-time Public Works and Water/Wastewater Operators.
